Vases

What are you supposed to do with vases that don't actually have any flowers in them.

Should you put them away and only get them out when you've got flowers in them, or is it OK to leave them on display, but empty?

Suppose it depends on the vase. I have only 2 vases - one looks ok empty on display but the other one gets hidden away if theres nothing to put in it.

Ours end up getting filled with coins, pens, essential post, odd bits of toys etc.
