What procedure on Insurance Company replacing a carpet?

got the assesses coming out on Monday to see if carpet can be restored. IF not they will advise Ins company to replace.

Do I have to get quotes and submitt? Gosh how long will this take?

I have family now coming from Australia in 9 days time!

Depends on the insurer - some use a particular supplier, and you just go and choose one up to the cost you are given, or they'll tell you the amount and you buy it and claim back.

They'll tell you what the method is for them, once replacement is recommended.
