Reading www.womanandhome.com/homes/homes-news/expert-method-for-drying-clothes-quickly-indoors/ and thinking I finally need to join the dehumidifier for drying laundry bandwagon. I already have a Dyson fan that would work. However, pretty much the whole ground floor of my house, where the washing machine is, is open plan. I don’t really want to be lugging it all to the upstairs bathroom to dry it. My understanding is that dehumidifiers work best in small spaces. So my question is, has anyone successfully used one for drying laundry in an open plan environment? My house is a standard 3 bed 1920s semi so not massive but we have extended at the back of the kitchen. The laundry area is a small area off the kitchen but there are no doors closing it off, it’s partly open into the hallway and leads into the kitchen.
