M&S cotton and polyester pillow - taking so long to dry

I washed a pillow. I spun it twice. It still had loads of water. It's been in the dryer for weeks a couple of hours and barely feels any drier.
I think it may be cheaper to buy a new one.

nb I also washed a 100% polyester one last night and that was nearly dry when I pulled it out of the washing machine and fully dry after a night in the airing cupboard.

Any ideas?

How utterly bizarre.
Is the actual filling made from polyester? What does the label say?

Filling is 50:50 cotton and polyester.
Label says tumble dry low or air dry.
