Ds1 is five, and still often wets the bed - fairly normal for age especially given genetics (close relative wet bed until 11).

But I have just had to sling one mattress because of the smell, am having to sling a carpet because of the smell (he went through a stage of sleeping on the floor) and seem to be washing his pillows and duvet every 2 days or so - becvause of the smell.

It's costing me a fortune.

He won't wear pyjama pants - he takes them off.

So I am buying this in the hope it should cut down on the washing.

I do lift him at about 10.30 by the way, often to no avail.

What else can I do?

I have a kylie - he kicks it off.

I have the same problem with ds2. Don't know what else you can do really. It's a pain I know, I'm always washing his sheets and quilt.

Pillows and Duvet - don't know - I hope the set works

Mattress - Pampers Bed Mats. Not cheap and not environmentally friendly but on top of waterproof sheet (and under normal sheet) they should save the mattress.

only thing I could suggest is the minki lady - she can make cloth pull-ups and she used to let you choose the pattern

my dd1 trained late due to cerebral palsy and she chose herself a pretty cover for her night pants which made her like them more

they are v comfy and fleecy and nice

I think there used to be various boy type fabrics eg Spiderman etc

also I have these and they are v comfy

Would he sleep with a baby style blanket? DS2 has one from Mothercare which is quite thick - fleece layer with cotton layer. But it's really easy to wash and quick to dry.

There are lots of products on Ebay if you search for incontinence.
