Musty Scarves

I have been given a couple of silk scarves-fairly large squares.
They are bright and in perfect condition but they have a musty smell.

I know the person who gave them to be would like to see me wearing them occasionally-and I'm keen to do so-but how can I can rid of this mustiness?

I'm frightened to put them in the machine or even hand wash them and a quick burst of perfume might mark and/or merge into one dreadful smell.

Is there anything I can buy that would clean them without water?

I'd hand them outside on the line for a few hours on a windy day

I'll try that-thanks @Whizzingwhippet

I think I have found my drag name.

Put them out on the line for a few days.
then stick some nice smelly soap in your drawers
