Fitted sheets

I have been battling my fitted sheets weekly for decades now. Does anyone have an amazing way of getting them on the mattress without it doubling as a full body workout?

Get deeper ones that fit over the mattress properly.

They have to be exactly the right size in all 3 dimensions, or it's a nightmare. Pure cotton sheets can shrink slightly so even if they were right when you bought them, they may not be now. It might be enough to buy deeper ones but you might need to move up from standard double to king size,

I think the slight shrinking is the key thing

I’ve ordered a size up. Hopefully that will help thank you

There are two things I’ve found helpful - one is the deeper sheets. Rise and Fall do extra deep fitted sheets with super-grippy elastic; they go on easily and just don’t move. The other is cotton jersey sheets - they’re nicely stretchy and easy to put on and the bonus is they’re really comfy at this time of year.

Stop using them! Flat sheets are far nicer and not that difficult to fit and most importantly they stay in place.
