Washing an old sofa cover

Made to measure, no label.
Fabric looks like heavyweight cotton but could be linen.
Would you risk it on a gentle wash?

I’d wash it either in the bath with cold water and no “cleaner” or the machine with fragrance free soap, not detergent. Something like olive Marseille soap, it’s never let me down!
