Yes, sat on some gum in one of my favourite dresses.

Can anyone help?

Freeze it and pick it off if possible

calkel · 07/12/2025 21:22

Freezer is apparently good for gum

MadBlack · 07/12/2025 21:23

Freeze it, and pick it off.
Not tried this myself though, cant read the care label if the dress is very delicate.

caringcarer · 07/12/2025 23:00

Put it in the freezer and it just comes off.

KilliMonjaro · 08/12/2025 05:44

Freeze it

I tried freezing gum on one of my kids sports tops and it didnt work. I bought some stain remover for chewing gum and that worked a treat. It was a brand called Either Beckman or HG. I dont live in the UK so hope you can find something similiar

Warm white vinegar and an old toothbrush got the gum off when the freezer trick failed for me.

Peanut butter can work depending on material

This worked.

Thank you @IAmAHomewardBounder

No worries, glad it worked! I was you 3 weeks ago when my DD managed to get it on both her trousers and jacket after she sat on a step at school 😳
