Morning
Poor you EV, any ideas what's making her wake so early?
I'm waking early but we have these wretched cockrels next door which start crowing fronm 3.30am on a bright morning Thankfully the kids seem to be able to sleep through the noise better than I can.

Just bookmarking the thread for now as I need to get the kids to school but I plan to be back later for help getting my act together

Hope you're all well, will try to catch up later x

EHM · 10/06/2008 07:50

Morning all

You have my sympathies EV Ellie waking at 5am for the past 2 weeks I put it down to her poorly chest. Hope you manage to get some rest today. Thanks for the thread & Links.
bianca 330am hope you get some rest too.

Jas · 10/06/2008 08:22

Morning

Thanks for the thread EV. Bianca @cockerels. I wouldn't be happy!

I think I'm in for another long day with ds.
My mission for today is to scrub the rug and try and get it dry (Ds was sick on it last night)

DD1 is still miserable due to sunburn from the weekend.

I'm going to try and get some work done this morning, so if ds settles there I'll be back at lunchtime...

mummymusings · 10/06/2008 08:30

TheMadHouse · 10/06/2008 09:15

Morning Fly Friends

I am still not right, still ache all over, but did manage a little sleep, but I have 3 (yes 3) cold spots on my mouth and a neck and face like the incredible hulk without the green.

I am going to take the boys to mums and toddlers this morning
Tehn off to mums for lunch
DS1 back for Preschool
DS2 can stay at mums
Plumber sometime after 12.30

I also need to get him to look at two loos, the ensuit has started to overflow and the downstairs one takes an hour to fill

I think I am going to have to right off most of this week, as this is the worst I have felt in a long long time (infact since I was last pregnant]

BiancaCastafiore · 10/06/2008 09:18

Poor ds Jas hope today gets easier for him and you x
TMH how's your tooth today?
EHM hope Ellie is feeling better x
NIce to see HN was about yesterday

We had a good weekend. I worked on Sat then we pottered round some open gardens on Sunday
Worked again yesterday then took the kids for a picnic tea at the park after school - we ended up staying for 4 hours, the weatehr was so gorgeous!

However, all these lovely days doing lovely things have left the house in a state so I must get on today. We're off on holiday at the end of the week so I have loads to get organised. I am also very stressed about the journey so need to keep my mind off it.

TheMadHouse · 10/06/2008 09:33

Bianca Sounds lovley

Tooth not right, we think the infaction is raging round my body

scattyspice · 10/06/2008 10:01

Happy Birthday Ludaoo

BiancaCastafiore · 10/06/2008 11:31

erm, Jas...I think it's Saga's birthday today Luda's was last month.
Happy Birthday Saga

I just had a call to say the kids have won prizes from the open gardens at the weekend (There was a little trail for them to follow)

I'm not getting much done NOt sure what my problem is, just lack of get-up-and-go.

I have a load of washing in the wm and have made some piles of clothes on the kids bedrooms floors to pack in the suitcase. I always over-pack and end up with a load of clothes we never wear. The kids and I have some nice new clothes this summer which I really want to pack but then when I think about it all I end up thinking we'll all just live in the same jeans/cropped trous that we always do lol.

Feeling a bit disheartened by my lack of effort this morning, some motivataion would be great if anyone has some to offer

Jas · 10/06/2008 11:34

Ooops....I knew it was someones birthday

Happy Birthday Saga

Jas · 10/06/2008 11:36

When do you go?

What happened with the car?

No motiation going spare but if you go and do 1 mins and come back, I'll be here to encourage you

BiancaCastafiore · 10/06/2008 11:43

We go in the early hours of Friday morning (in an attempt to get past the busy areas before there's a risk of traffic)
Car goes to the garage tomorrow. Local garage looked it over and could find nothing wrong so we hope it's an electrical fault making the dash light up. The dealer should be able to tell us tomorrow (fingers crossed)

I can't even get my head round what needs doing tbh. I like to leave everything tidy and the place has spiraled out of control lately so I can't see a way to get things up to standard before we go I need to do everything and just don't have it in me. I can bearly eat and am therefore lacking energy for worrying about being ill in the car on Friday. The CBT workbook the doc recommended looks good but progress takes too long to have made any impact to prepare me for this journey. I could just sit and cry instead...

Jas · 10/06/2008 11:56

Bianca

Please try and eat something (says the woman who has just had chocolate cake for lunch), then do as much as you can to tidy up the kitchen, and reboot the laundry.

I don't know what to suggest that may be any use at all, but I know you are going to create a self fulfilling prophecy if you can't take your mind off the journey at all over the next few days.

Is there a "nice" job you could do for a bit to relax? Gardening?

BiancaCastafiore · 10/06/2008 12:09

I have discovered an alternative hypnotherapist (a lady I know a little in our village as it turns out - and she's lovely) to the one the GP recommended (who was fully booked) and have emailed her...she may be able to teach me some calming down techniques to help.

I really can't physically swallow any food today

I have been so much better again lately since I went to the GP. I'm disappointed in myself for getting worked up.

I have tidied a few things away downstairs so will run the hoover round then try to drink some soup.

scattyspice · 10/06/2008 12:46

Bianca Don't get annoyed with yourself. You are trying to face a fear, which is admirable. Hypnotherapist sounds like a good idea. Pack those lovely clothes (if you don't feel good at least you can look good lol).

Happy birthday Sagga .

Done:
Dusting
laundry
Take up DDs dress (too short now lol).
Laundry
shopping

To do:
wash up
play in garden (DCs seem to have lots of energy considering supposed to be ill )
GP 4pm.

Soup is good
Any chance of a relaxation session with the hypnotherapist this week?

Seeing your gp was a big step, but only one step in a journey, not the end point. Keep going with those babysteps and don't beat yourself up when you have bad times.

My kitchen is ok, and I need to tidy up in here now.

Jas · 10/06/2008 12:53

@ the nap. Go for it, and have 40 winks for me, too.

TheMadHouse · 10/06/2008 12:53

Bianca You need the troughs to understand the peaks. You are doing a fanstastic job, it tends to be a couple of steps forward, then we get complacent and a step backward. You are doing fantastic

Jas Chocolate cake yum - now that I could eat

I am going to ring the dentists again and ask about extraxtion, as I just am not coping with the pain.
