Pull out kitchen taps

I need a new mixer kitchen tap, I've never had one with a "pull out" before and never really thought I needed one.

Are they a "why didn't I get one years ago" item or just a bit gimmicky?

The times when the pull out is really useful

  1. if a pot doesn’t fit under the tap for filling - this can be avoided by choosing a tap with a decent reach

  2. if the sink is large, the pull out is really useful for cleaning the sink. Can be avoided by not having a really large sink (but then a large sink is jolly useful)

I've got one in my utility sink and it's a godsend for washing the dogs in. It also helps keep the sink clean, and works easily. But I want a Quooker tap when we remodel the kitchen hopefully next year.

Same. I have 2 in the kitchen and 1 in the utility. Can't understand why I didn't get them years ago 🙂

You can get a Quooker with pull out, it’s what we have. Quooker Flex I think it’s called.

We have a pull out in the utility and it’s much more useful there than in the kitchen sink. So if your kitchen sink is also used for utility stuff (washing muddy boots etc) then definitely it’s worth it.
