How long for a fortnightly clean?

I just want the bathrooms done - an initial deep clean and then fortnightly. 2 shower rooms and the main bathroom. The potential cleaner asked me how long and I said 3 hours for the deep clean and then 2 hours fortnightly. I didn’t include the downstairs wc as i thought it might be taking the piss but now I’m thinking maybe it could be done in the time ….Aargh!

Sounds fine. Just tell them exactly what you want done. See if they do it to your liking and then that can tell you if they need more or less time. I know it’s difficult not to overthink.

Hmm it’s a tricky one. All depends on the size of the showers, walk in or over bath?
how much they get used?
3 hrs for a deep clean sounds ok for an average size bathrooms.
however, 2 hrs every other week might be pushing it a bit. All depends on size and usage though.
Having worked as a cleaner, a lot comes down to the water quality in your area as well. Hard water will take longer as you can easily spend half an hour on a shower screen (if it’s a walk in shower) to get it pristine.

Your first clean will always take longer, so just be aware of that

Does the main bathroom have a separate shower and bath? Is there extensive shiny tiling? How much glass is there to polish? These things will add time.

Hard water? This adds time too. I can tell you that a full bathroom with extensive tiling with a walk in separate shower in a hard water area done every two weeks (and done properly) would take an hour.

@Fiftyandmemain bathroom has a separate shower but only the shower is tiled, the rest is panelled.
