Ink stains on nhs uniform

please help me!

How do I get these out? They’ve been washed and fully tumble dried, the stains almost feel hard now & have gone a bit discoloured around them. I was going to try soaking them in vodka as I’d seen that in another thread & don’t really have anything else to hand today.

Whats the best plan if any?

I have always soaked ink stains in milk . May not work after the wash and dry, but has been good for me in the past.

Hand sanitizer works but it takes time you need to blot it out with kitchen paper it will look worse before it gets better. I’ve used hand gel/sanitizer lots of times and it really works on ink

Just get new ones from your uniform room? Ink is a real pest to get out and will take a long time to fade

It’s probably too late. Washing and heat-treating tends to set stains. They’re unlikely to come out now.

Vodka (or, even better, isopropyl alcohol) shifts whiteboard marker and many other liquid inks. Hairspray shifts thick ink, like biro. But they have to be treated asap, and before any soap, detergent or heat.
