What is the best coffee machine - Sage, Ninja, De’longhi? Etc

Hi so we have been talking about buying a decent coffee machine for years, the time has come!! Budget £400-£600. We are going round in circles looking at the various models and now we are totally confused!!
we mainly drink Oat milk flat white, oat lattes and Americanos. We need something totally fool proof….my husband needs to be able to manage it himself 😂.
would love to hear recommendations as would like to buy over Black Friday weekend and we are so scared of choosing the wrong one!!
thank you !

But Sage is really good - we liked the barista express

I'd like a coffee machine too

We were in the same situation. Love our coffee but hated the mess from the cafetiere. We spent ages looking at YT videos and in the end bought a Nespresso machine. We love it. I heat the milk in the microwave while the machine is heating up, I have the lungo setting to our mug size. DH has a no.10 strength pod and I have a no.10 decaf. Amazing coffee everytime and no mess or fuss.

I love my sage but it’s not really fool proof. Are you looking for a bean to cup press a button and you’re done? Or like a sage one which is a mini barista machine which you grind, tamp etc yourself.

We love our delonghi authentic cappuccino

Thisismyalterego · 27/11/2025 21:11

I have a Delonghi Eletta Cappuccino and I love it. Lots of options to personalise my coffee and so easy to use that my DH ( not a coffer drinker) can use it and make me a perfect coffee every time.

Sage Express Impress (or vice versa). Love love love mine.

tobee · 27/11/2025 21:31

We have a de longhi eletta - it's totally fool proof, froths the milk for you, easy to clean! It’s bean to cup

Currently costs £428.00 on amazon.

Sage Barrista Pro

Wickedlittledancer · 27/11/2025 21:35

We have this one, and honestly one of our best buys, we don’t drink instant any more, just use the machine and guests love it. It’s bean to cup. And freshly ground coffee is a million times better than the instant, if it broke we’d replace it.

Sage Barista. I love love love mine, and drink mainly soya milk lattes. It's my favourite kitchen gadget of all time.

I do love my sage!
fresh beans is the main thing to recommend then just give it a go, tweak as you need to etc. enjoy!

NormaNormalPants · 06/12/2025 23:51

Sage Oracle Touch is pretty foolproof. We picked ours up refurbished for less than half the price and it arrived looking absolutely pristine and makes the best coffees.

Ohthatsabitshit · 06/12/2025 23:56

Delonghi, but we don’t have a been to cup and very much don’t like a press button automatic experience.
