Recommend me a carpet cleaner

I need a decent carpet cleaner that will also do upholstery. There are two Bissell
models on Amazon with a price difference of fifty quid or so. I have a Vax which I’ve used once and it was an utter nightmare. Never used it again. Which Bissell should I go for I should I consider another brand?

I’m a fan of vax!
two thoughts on this, is it for regularly cleaning whole rooms or for small areas?

we have a monster vac but have also bought the spot cleaner, this is a fabulous product and we use it all the time. Easy to move, easy to use and works.
