Spot carpet cleaner that works?

Has anyone found a spot carpet cleaner that works? Asking because someone was sick on my pale carpet the other day after seemingly consuming some particularly highly coloured cat food - presumably found in a neighbouring bin.
Although I cleaned it immediately with water & Fairy Liquid (being woken at 4am by the hideous vomiting) a yellow stain remains 😭.

Simple Solution, for getting cat pee stains and smells out of fabric works really well on cat sick too. Better than anything else that I have tried.
