I have just cleaned my dishwasher with white vinegar

and it is sparkling - I am impressed. Plus it doesn't smell anymore!

I am currently cleaning the washing machine with soda crystals in the drum and white vinegar in the fabric softner tray. And awaiting results. I will rpeort back!

sput the washing maching drawer in the dishwasher next time then you don't have to wrestle with all the nooks and crannies

How much of all these things did you put in, cece? (I can work out how much vinegar in the fabric softener tray, I guess, but the other 2?)

oh I like that idea - I always struggle to get the black gunk out of the corners.

I filled a mug with vinegar and left it on the top tray for the dishwasher.

Threw about a small cupful of soda crystals into washing machine. Filled tray with vinegar.

Oh and put them on their hottest wash.

OK washing machine looks good too - all seals which were gunky are now nice and clean looking

cece can I just ask - when you say you 'filled the tray with vinegar', how full do you mean? In the powder or softener compartment?
