Cleaning a doll

Toddler DD has a much loved doll, with a soft body and plastic arms and legs.

The body bit is gross from being subject to the snot/ snacks / mud that comes from close contact with a 2 year old.

I can wipe it all, but that doesn’t sort ingrained crap. If it was a soft toy I’d stick it in the machine, but I don’t think I can do that with the plastic bits.

Any recommendations? Would the dishwasher on a cold wash kill it?

Do you have a wool or delicates setting on your washing machine?

Like a 20° or colder cycle with a really low spin. And put it in a wash back, or pillow case.

The same as if you were to put trainers in the washing machine.

You'll end up with mould inside the plastic parts, they'll never dry out quick enough when it's got a soft body. Just got to scrub it with a toothbrush and some fairy liquid and have plenty of paper towels on hand so it doesn't get on the soft parts. If the soft parts are the problem you'll have to get rid of it and buy another.
