Mould spores/spots on very heavy curtains

Help needed! I looked behind my heavy bedroom curtains and there are black mould spores on the lining. These curtains are far too big to fit in a washing machine. What do I do please?

I would put an old towel or something between the curtain and the lining and spray with Astonish mould and mildew remover, let it sit for a while, then sponge it off.
It will leave the lining discoloured but, presumably, you don’t see that part much? Make sure you wipe condensation off windows daily, open windows daily and clean frames/sills to prevent reoccurrence. Are the spores definitely only on the lining and not through to the curtain?

Failing that, dry cleaners? But if they are heavy they will be v expensive. Or is there a nearby big machine? Some petrol stations weirdly now have giant machines on the forecourt that fit duvets etc. but do check the fabric is machine washable.
Ime the black stain remains, even after machine washing in some cases, but the spores would have course be killed.

You need this. It is a miracle. Protect everything around the curtains but you can use it with them in situ. It's Australian but you can buy it in the UK. Its called Curtain Magic while we're waiting for the image to be approved.

Thank you both so much. I will look for curtain magic!

£74 ?!?! Surely there must be a cheaper alternative

Yep, the one I suggested is a couple of quid 😂

The Astonish one is not suitable for use on fabric.

I'd use white vinegar but it won't remove the stains.

Mould Magic from Must Have Ideas. You can use it on curtains.

Yes. It’s worked well on everything so far!
