Now I'm working outside the only one day per week I have lots more time to be ecological with my housecleaning process. Limescale in the loo is a real pain in our house. I'm following Nancy Birtwhistle's cleaning recommendations, but am not sure about something: when she says to clean a loo brush once a month by immersing it fully in white vinegar for several hours, does this mean just the brush or the whole inside of the receptacle? I ask as I imagine bacteria can grow up the brush and sides of the receptacle the brush is kept in so it does make sense to fill the whole receptacle. This is quite a lot of vinegar though -- about 800ml!
Nancy doesn't specify -- what is the Mumsnet consensus? Thank you all.
