Textured tiles in walk-in shower, yeah or nah

We are currently doing our bathroom and the bath has been removed to make way for a walk-in shower. Picked tiles but there is a matching textured tile that the tiler recommends as a feature wall in the shower but I am worried that texture equals soap scum billed up? What are your experiences with textured walls in shower. We are a family of 6, with teenage boys. Thoughts/advise please .

We've had both, and for the very minimal difference in those tiles I'd choose smooth. Easier to clean.

Don’t do it! We have inherited textured tiles. They’re awful to keep clean. I hate them.

Considered tiles but went for aqua board in the end. No grout, easier to clean

They're a bitch for limescale build up. Unless you particularly love the smell of Viakal, I'd go with smooth.

Not a chance I'd have textured tiles in a shower.

Smooth all the way for cleaning and in our case using a window vac on them.

Thank you to everyone who have confirmed my reservations. Smooth it is!
