Need a washing machine that will wash full load 8-10kg in less than 90 mins. And has an express20 option for smaller load. And let's you pause cycle so you can add items. And has a good spin minimum 1400. Seperate rinse and spin function. And can wash a single duvet 10.5 tog in under 90 minutes... family of 5 including a reflux/poopy baby and young child who still wets the bed... I am not looking forward to winter as you can imagine.
Mumsnetters... please tell me such a washing machine exists! All the new ones seem to have programmes that take minimum 2hr 30 mins. 😱

My new Hotpoint washer dryer ( only using as a washer) has a 1 hr 15 eco cycle. Think it holds 9kg.
We had a Beko before we moved that functioned well and had a fast setting.
Never come across one where you can pause and add items!

Thank you- do you know the model nos please?
Yes I think it's called the pause and add function. That's not a major requirement more of a nice to have - when you realise 5 minutes into the wash there's that odd sock you dropped on the way to the machine 😅

My 10 year old Bosch does all that you want so perhaps look at them. It has a button for cutting down all programmes by about half the time and also lets you choose the temperature for most of the programmes. If I remember it was about £450-£500. It's an Excel 800 varioperfect

Have a look on AO
Thats where ours is from. Great fast service.

The older ones were better, the newer ones not so much. Hoping the newest ones are better as I am also down one washing machine.

Tbf my Bosch is also around 10 years old but I’d probably buy another once that gives up the ghost

My DM has a new Miele to replace her 25 year old Miele and she’s very happy with it. It has all the functions you’re after.

Dbank · 31/10/2025 18:30

If your budget can run to a Miele, I would highly recommend one, they usually work out cheaper in the long run and in my experience the customer service is excellent.

I am so tired of ‘eco cycles’ that last days. I don’t believe this is ‘eco’ at all.
where is a machine that will do a half hour wash at 60 like the ones in the laundrette.

RedRiverShore5 · 31/10/2025 18:34

My John Lewis machine is not advertised as pause and add but I seem to be able to do this anyway, I'm often popping bits in after it's started. It also has different length washes for the main programs
