Where are you getting your pillows from

I used to buy mine from a department store, and should have continued, I might go up there at some point to see what they do now, as it’s been some years.
But the one I had, it had been a good few years and i thought oh i will replace it.
And stupidly bought a memory foam one from Primark, well it feels too firm, and I am a side sleeper, so i feel my head is too high up and making my neck ache a bit.
But more so, in addition to my other post about aging eyes 😀 I feel like when I am pushing my face in to it, it’s squashing that area, so i would not be surprised if that has contributed a bit too.

We are short of good, decent stores around here to go and have a good selection to choose from.
I don’t think I would get any more from Primark.

So it’s places like Argos/B&M, Tkmaxx although some of their bedding can be pricey too.

Any suggestions especially for those who need something similar for side sleeper etc, then that would be good.

My beautician said to sleep on back anyway, but I find that hard to do after so many years.
And with this current pillow again uncomfortable because of the height.

Agree. Hard to beat Next for all things bedding. Also, see Soak n Sleep.

I use Dusk.com for pillows - excellent and usually available for a reasonable price

I got mine online from Premier Inn! I love their pillows!

BlackeyedSusan · 23/10/2025 10:06

Asda, Tesco and Dunelm mills. The Asda ones were suitable for autistic teen.

Thankyou for suggestions so far, I am going to have a look at the names mentioned.

My sister ordered one of their mattresses, she loves it!

Dunlopillo (now called Relyon) are the emperor if pillows. We all have one now! They are stupidly expensive but last forever.

Definitely good pillows. We’ve got their duvet and mattress topper too.

My pillows are all made from feathers from recycled eiderdowns. I bought the eiderdowns many years ago, when you could buy them for a few pence at jumble sales and had the feathers cleaned and made into pillows with new ticking.
Being vintage the feathers are proper down, not simple duck feathers.

Dunelm in person at the shop. They have display ones not in packaging so you can give them a good squish to check suitability

I bought these after seeing them recommended on here about 6 months ago and I absolutely love them. I fall asleep and don’t have to mess about with my pillow at all, it stays put, stays perfectly comfortable and is wonderful!

I love my Dunlopillo too. I hesitated to buy them as they are more expensive but they've been worth every penny, have lasted for years and still as good as new.

Glad to know of the change of name. I thought my local furniture store had stopped selling them. Not that they'll need replaced any time soon.

Silentnight at Dunelm have produced a comfy pillow for me. Also The Wool Room.

Scottishlass10 · 27/10/2025 20:33

Alpaca wool/wool pillows from the Woolroom. You can personalise the filling too.

billycorn · 27/10/2025 21:15

The Norfolk Feather Company. They do synthetic fillers too and supply hotels. Very well priced.
