Hi
Do you know any charities who will take second hand feather duvets ?
They are in good condition but we are changing to synthetic due to allergies.
In Kingston/Richmond/Wimbledon area.

Not your area, but he only charities I've found that would take them were animal shelters

Put them on Freecycle and or Olio, if they are fit to be reused.

dementedpixie · 30/09/2025 17:47

I don't think animal charities would want them as they arent easy to wash and dry

DeQuin · 30/09/2025 17:47

Animal shelters or freecycle if they are in really good condition.

My local animal shelters explicitly request no feather or down. If they can be washed then perhaps a homeless shelter may take them. ( I mean you wash them before donation)

Homeless shelters

Hurumphh · 16/10/2025 19:35

I’m not in your area but the Salvation Army round here would maybe take them for the evening soup kitchen work they do with the homeless.

Most animal.shelters don't want them. They are too bulky and difficult to wash and expensive to dispose of. They tend to want sheets and towels.

Sally Army and groups supporting the homeless in my neck of the woods.
