Hand held vacuum for stairs

After having fallen down the stairs yet again with my bulky vacuum cleaner, I’ve come to the conclusion that I need a hand held, cordless one! Any recommendations?
I’m looking for something more powerful than a dust buster and was considering something like a shark but they’ve had mixed reviews. I have a very hairy dog so would need something that wouldn’t lose its shit over that!

I have a shark one. It’s really good suction-wise and gives those satisfying suction lines once you’ve cleaned. The battery isn’t great, though but I only need it for the stairs as I have a robot vac everywhere else. It’s sufficient for just stairs.
