Hoover for an 80 year old lady?

I need to choose a hoover for my newly widowed mother. She has thick carpets and the house has three floors so it needs to be light. Could anyone give me any recommendations please?

I am bone idle, and truthfully, I’d get a cordless for each floor. Or a robot for the ground floor and a cordless for the two upper floors. I do my stairs half way up with my downstairs one, and half way down with the upstairs version. Mine are Shark. They last about 20 minutes on high power and 30 on low, which is quite enough.

Something cordless and lightweight like a Halo or Gtech. Whatever you do keep away from Henry...even cordless. They are very heavy.

3 floors?!
I think your 80 year old mother could maybe do with a hoover with a person attached

Something like https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gtech-AirRam-Cordless-Upright-Cleaner/dp/B06VY1KB42?th=1 ?

Cordless might be heavy due to the battery. I’d probably go to John Lewis and try some out and definitely get one for each floor.

I have a gtech air ram and really like it. It’s very light and easy to use. My mum recently bought one, having tried mine out. She’s 80.

Another shout out for Gtech air ram. My 90 year old mum loves hers and manages it as it’s lightweight and easy to empty when the compartment is full. It’s also easy to clean and doesn’t need any maintenance

My mother is 82 and she’s got a massive house definitely does her own hoovering when she isn’t playing croquet with one of the two clubs she is a member of.

She’s got an upright Shark vacuum.
