Marker pens on jumper

School jumper got lots of marker pen all over it. Other than washing at 60 degrees what else can I do?

I tried pre soaking with laundry detergent and rubbing it off but nothing came off. Any tips?

I just accepted it as one of those things, and brought 2nd hand jumpers from the PTA sales after reception!

Look at the positives - at least your Dc will know which jumper is theirs through the marker pen all over it!

Cheap hairspray all over it to soak when it’s fresh and then hot wash.
When I say cheap I mean basic from Morrison or Sainsburys.

I don't worry about them. If the school are going to give them marker pens they have to accept stains.

Squirt the mark with hand sanitiser. It removes pen marks brilliantly. In fact it's probably better at removing pen marks than it is at removing germs. 😂

Is it marker pens or dry wipe pens? For dry wipe alcohol is meant to work (alcohol gel or a clear alcohol like vodka)

No idea. It’s a thick pen. And it’s on two jumpers now. I have sent in today with the marks - I tried a lot over the weekend. But i will give it a go with hand sanitizer and alcohol.

Vodka should work, so presumably sanitizer would too. Pour some on, let it sit for a bit then you can blot with a rag/ paper towel to see if it is lifting off. Either continue blotting until it has gone or wash again if not too stained.
