Best alternative to Henry hoover?

I have been a Henry (well Hetty) convert for years after a failed Dyson and Electrolux in my early homeowning days. Hetty has lasted well and been doing a decent job, nothing wrong but I am just fed up to the back teeth of dragging her round, banging into walls, falling over, wrestling her back into the cupboard under the stairs etc. I want a change.
I'd like preferably an upright or stick type, not a cylinder as I can't be doing dragging something around any more... I see from research here that Miele is the best, not Shark? Is this true? Doesnt have to be cordless, mixed carpet and hard floor house. One poodle so minimal shedding but 2 long haired family members. Will I regret ditching Hetty or is there better out there?

I'm on my third Miele in thirty years (only been using this one six months). I like a cylinder because the sound isn't right in front of me.

Vote for Shark ✋ it’s light, powerful and completely take-apart-able so you can sort blockages etc really easily and get replacement bits if you need (I bashed the head and broke a piece off and they had a replacement head with us in a couple of days)
