oh i've never rented furnished, and never expected the landlord to provide anything but the house, i thought curtains/blinds whatever where down to tenants to sort out,

Hi all, sorry haven't caught up with the thread, I'm just popping on inbetween supper and keep fit

I've had a hectic day...Mondays usually are hectic I have to say!

I am secretly very chuffed too because as I was walking back from school this pm it started to chuck it down, so I decided to run over the bridge on the way home and as I stopped to let a truck go past (narrow bridge) the man leant out the window and said "Oh don't stop running, I was enjoying looking at your bum"

Well my first reaction was just to stare at him blankly...and not be able to think of anything to say apart from...."pardon"!! To which he replied "I was being a bit cheeky, but you have a lovely bum" I then smiled and laughed a bit as he drove off....then thought HOW VERY DARE HE!!!! But then I thought that I should actually be pleased, as all my running/dieting/keep fitting must be doing something

So I am now semi conciously trying to see what my bum looks like every time I pass a window or a mirror LOL!!!!

Well I had better get on...hope all are ok

Ludaloo · 02/06/2008 17:20

I haven't had anyone comment on my bum since I was in my late teens/early 20's! I was all flusterd!

sagacious · 02/06/2008 17:20

Oooo Luda you fox !

Caught up (nearly) on the laundry and ironing

Tommorow I tackle the (cue doom laden music and flashes of lightning) dc's bedrooms...

Dyls It I was Mary P I could get my work done by clicking my fingers. Sadly it only gets done with hard graft

I've made the lunches and I've put the chicken (with herbs and butter under the skin then massaged on and in) in to roast

Feeling very angry sad at the moment. It will pass but I'm having to bite my tongue. Why are people just fecking knobs?

dylsmum1998 · 02/06/2008 17:51

@Luda trying to spot her bum!

GO why are you feeling very angry sad?

grouchyoscar · 02/06/2008 18:06

Angry due to rude and ignorant people and recent local difficulty

I will rise above it but I want to unleash a tongue lashing

sagacious · 02/06/2008 18:08

Rise above grouch

FWIW I've always thought you sound a very chilled person

And I'm dribbling at the thought of roast chicken (am on strict diet ATM)

Thank Saga

I will rise above it. I know it make me a better person but I am angry and I feel I have a very good right to be so. Thanks for saying I seem chilled tho, that has defused me a bit.

The chicken is done and looks lusciously burnished and golden. Better do some salad

dylsmum1998 · 02/06/2008 18:19

agree with Saga go you do alwaays seem very chilled and calm. bang some cupboard doors to release the stress- well it works for me might work for you

grouchyoscar · 02/06/2008 18:35

Posted elsewhere to get it out of my system. Feel better for a rant. I am a much better person than I ever gave myself credit for so, again, I suppose it's a plus point

I don't want to alienate Ed so I will rise above it all.

Thanks for being my sounding board/psychotherapists again

babyjjbaby · 02/06/2008 18:36

TheMadHouse · 02/06/2008 18:38

GO What goes around comes around and you are a very chilled person.

I have got loads of tissues and hot chocolate. Comfort food in TheMadHouse

Luda In honour of the glorios Ass

Ruby we rented unfurnished for 6 months when relocating from down south back oop north and it came with grubby nets and even grubbier curtains. Infact the nets were so naff, that I replaced them all with muslins, as I couldnt live with them (I was preganant at the time)

Sag You better post when you enter the rooms, so we can ensure that you come out alive

Dyls Please come and count and remove my slugs and snails. They are eating my pea shoots

grouchyoscar · 02/06/2008 18:46

TMH The little invertabrate blighters savaged Ed's peas last year. This time I have made a pyramid from bamboo canes swathed in netting. The peas and beans are safe inside and the blighters can't get em.

There is some bird/animal friendly blighter pellets you can get from the garden centre or it's worth knowing that they cannot cross a line of WD40 (OK, not organic but as I grow in tubs, just squirt the tub, not the soil

Shame you can't do that to protect from local human difficulties

Oommm, I am an improving person ooommmmm, Ting

dylsmum1998 · 02/06/2008 21:13

TMH dd would have a field day watching the slugs and snails for you. she was mesmerised watching one climb a wall on way home from school, telling it to "careful might fall get broken"
remember what a nusance the little bligthers are from when we had a garden the other year and managed to grow babycorn and green beans, still didnt manage to convince ds to eat any but he enjoyed growing them and slugs and snails enjoyed racing me to eat them!
