Tomato stain on washed polo

Any miracle tips for getting tomato stains out of school polos? I’ve already run it through the machine with Fairy and Vanish powder but there’s still a mark hanging around. Has anyone managed to shift these before?!

Hang it outside or in the window for a day or two! Sunlight is a miracle cure for tomato stains

Spot Treat it with vanish and very hot water has always done the job for me

If it's sunny now where you are, stick it outside in the sun on a flat surface - it will be gone in a few hours!

Pop it through the wash again and hang it up to dry in direct sunlight. Sunlight is brilliant for tomato stains.

will it work if its already dry or would it be best if its wet? To put outside in the sun

You need to wet it

You realky need to treat stains before you wash the item. Do you have stain removers? If not, invest in some - Dr Beckmann do a good range.

Definitely sun. I got tomato soup on a white top, just stuck it on the windowsill for a few days and it vanished

What are the best stain treatments??

I got pasta sauce out with Fairy Skip the Soak. It’s for washing up really, but it worked wonders on that stain. I’ve seen other people say it works well on greasy stains too. Don’t use hot water as advised up thread, though, because it sets the stain.
