Help for stupid person - changing the grease filter in a cooker hood

I can't work out how to get the thing open. There are two screws, one either side of it, and the front has a slanted-upright glass panel that obviously has to come out before I can undo the screws.... anyone any good at this?

book that came with the cooker?

Hmm, found the book that came with the cooker but the cooker hood is a separate product and there is no book for it (this is a rented house and the appliances all belong to the landlord). Got the glass front open and the screws to an open position but the metal grid still won't budge.

Make and model? Maybe you can find it online.

On mine you don't undo any screws. Well, at least, not unless you want the hood to fall off the wall.

can you get a knife in to lever it out?

madamez · 01/06/2008 22:04

Fixed it. THe answer was, er, pull. I now have a pristine cooker hood
