Integrated washer dryer

Please would anyone share their thoughts on an integrated washing machine or washer dryer combo. I'm worried about the machine or door seal etc going mouldy because the door cannot be left open to air like a freestanding one. We're thinking of a new kitchen and don't have a separate laundry or utility area.

I don’t like them, they always break sooner than just a washer or dryer.

Can you not just stack a dryer on top of the washer?

I have had the same washer/dryer combo for about 7 years now; also integrated. Absolutely no issues for us. A small kitchen and I couldn’t be without a dryer so it was the only option. Mines is an Indesit 10KG. No issues with mould or smell for me; but worth noting that I’m in Scotland so we don’t have hard water or limescale build up.

i had one for years
i rarely used the drier and when it broke, i replaced it with a simple washing machine.
never any issues with mould though

I have a very good electric goods shop ( that’s actually not near since we moved 20 years ago but we still go there) and the owner only sells goods that are good quality and easy to fix . He wouldn’t even stock all in one washer dryers, partly because they go wrong more than normal washers and secondly because if you have a load of washing to do , it takes forever because you have to wait for the dryer to finish, whereas in a separate washer dryer you can get through another load when the first one is in the dryer.

Thank you all, lots to think about.
