Toilet smell - but gross

Small shower room. Just had new floor put in. Looks great. But noticing strong urine smell which was not an issue before. Cleaned everything but it is back. Could toilet have been put in wrong/ a leak?? Any ideas. One step forward, two steps back 🤦🏻‍♀️

It was the same in ours so I don't know if it's the cement/sealant/grouting. I was almost convinced they'd been peeing in there although I knew that they didn't have the time or the space!

It does disperse in a couple of weeks -ish so dont panic,!

It definitely could be the sealant used. Many of them do have a strong ammonia smell when new, but it does go off and fade out after a week or two.

Thanks both. I’ll keep the window open. I’ve been scrubbing everything!
