All my cleaning products seem to be running out at the same time! I really need to stock up, what are your current favourites for cleaning kitchen, bathroom and living areas?

I love all the Method products, but I’ve seen a few posts about the M&S range so I think I’ll give those a go. I’m not fussed on Smol.

I'm a devil for antibacterial wipes. Probably not so environmently friendly but soo handy. I get flushable toilet wipes too to give the toilet seat a rub and then just flush it

Wednesdaysotherchild · 03/09/2025 22:46

Vinegar, soda crystals, Ecover washing up liquid.

TeaBiscuitsNaptime · 03/09/2025 22:50

TruWash glass cleaner is great too. All natural ingredients and does a great job of mirrors, windows and other surfaces you want shiny!

Ooh I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to flush them - according to the water companies, they can block up the pipes.

Childrenare4life · 03/09/2025 23:25

I love Delphis products. All eco and work amazingly.

Doodlie · 03/09/2025 23:29

White vinegar. Soda crystals. Barkeepers Friend. Easy drain cleaner.

TeaBiscuitsNaptime · 03/09/2025 23:33

The ones I use have a 'fine to flush' logo so they should be ok to flush?

Rina66 · 03/09/2025 23:49

Mr Muscle glass cleaner - only one that doesn’t smear
M & S bathroom cleaner - smells amazing
Fairy Liquid (only Fairy Power though) - cleans most things in hot water, just in various concentrations - make your own Fairy Skip the Soak in a soray bottle, great for granite surfaces too
Kilrock descaler - kettles, taps, toilets
Zoflora - linen, smells great and disinfects, good for floors
Microfibre cloths, large 40cm x 40cm ones, all grey - except for bathroom, pink for sink, blue for loo

CaroleLandis · 03/09/2025 23:53

I use bleach for the toilets and Turkish cologne (kolonya) everywhere as it’s a lovely smell and a great disinfectant and isn’t harmful to pets.

GlassofRosePorfavor · 03/09/2025 23:54

Zoflora midnight blooms spray

i keep trying different ones but keep coming back

oh and cif cream for sink and shower (door as well)

Gladysknightjustwalkinmyshoes · 03/09/2025 23:56

No they are not fine. Please don't flush them ever.

PourUsAGlass · 04/09/2025 00:32

Justanotherdramalama · 04/09/2025 00:37

Rhubarb method spray is lush

supersonicginandtonic · 04/09/2025 00:40

Cilit bang mould and mildew remover

Childrenare4life · 04/09/2025 09:34

So many people using such harmful chemicals. No wonder our planet is dying.

Also, vapours from these products stay in the air and pollute little lungs.

Goodwitch9 · 04/09/2025 13:31

Thanks everyone, some great recommendations here!

And here's me thinking that they disintegrated or something. Fine, no more flushing!

thesnailandthewhale · 04/09/2025 22:51

Ineos - rhubarb and pomegranate spray … packaging is boring but smells amazing, have switched from Methimod now

pinkpony88 · 04/09/2025 23:15

I love the method cleaning products especially the rhubarb floor cleaner but also love the domestos power foam too.

Mmmkaay · 04/09/2025 23:18

Recent convert to Neat - teeny bottles of concentrate that you can dilute into your own spray bottle (or buy theirs, buy I have loads so why bother) and they smell amazing - better than Purdy & Figg. You can get some of the range in Tesco. The lilac and something shower spray smells fabulous (so I use it everywhere 😁)

Thank you @TeaBiscuitsNaptime 🙏
