Washer/dryer you’ve had for a long time!

Have had the worst luck with washer dryers, can anyone recommend one they’ve had and liked for a long time? I’m fed up with replacing every couple of years! Don’t need any bells and whistles, just a decent wash and dry.

You're better off buying it separately as a combo they don't last long...but separately they can last year's without an issue

I've had a candy alise for 5 years and its done marvellously!

I'm with you OP, looking for the same unicorn!

We're on our 3rd in 7 years with a repair booked in for next week so watch this space 🥴

If only we had the physical space for a separate washer and separate tumble dryer. That would be the dream. But then life would be so easy 😂

I've had a Hoover Dynamic Next 11/8kg washer dryer used most days (although a lot less often as a dryer now - although in the early days for a couple of years when where I lived didn't have anywhere to dry stuff it was used every time))

The thing has had a fault since I moved into my most recent home 5 years ago where there must be a poor connection because it beeps and dances around the programs if it's left on, but otherwise works perfectly. I have no idea how TBH. I would never have picked a Hoover but this was the only high-capacity one instantly available when I needed it, and the thing seems to be indestructable (I've washed kingsized duvets and blankets so heavy that they failed to spin until I took them out and re-arranged them). My kids are continuously leaving stuff in their pockets, and I seem to have to sit and manually drain it every 6 months because I forget to clean the filter often enough.

I hesitate to recommend, but seriously this thing is solid.

Forgot to say how long I've had it - 9 and a half years!

I know; I wish we could but we don’t have space for both and I don’t want to have no dryer

Thanks, we had a Samsung engineer out and I think he said he has a Hoover!

My Miele washer dryer is 16 years old, and does 40+ washes a month (bedwetters). I didn’t used the dryer function and it broke a couple of years ago. I could get it repaired (had a quote for it) but to be honest it wasn’t fabulous and we prefer line dried things.
