Is anyone else trying to do a big tidy today?

I started around 9:30am and about half of the living room is done. I want to do the whole house but that’s not really realistic 🤷‍♀️😂

I will be happy if I can get the living room finished, tidy up the clutter in the kitchen, tidy up the landing, tidy up the playroom, clean the toilet, sink and bath/shower and sort out all of the laundry but I will be lucky if I get even half of that done in one day but I’m going to try and do what I can room by room 🤞🤣

Me! I'm going to wash the sheets, tidy up and Hoover living room, clean kitchen, clean bathroom and tidy up my children's rooms ( with their help)

Me! I’ve already done our washing and I’m about to do our bedding, we came back from holiday a couple of days ago but still haven’t unpacked so I’m excited to have it all done so I can chill this evening

I started. Then decided to make the most of my last few days off.

I did do a semi deep clean of the bathroom last night and DDs boyfriend has just brought all the washing down from the landing and has offered to sweep it.

His job is to rearrange the small room (his as he practically lives here). DD is rearranging her room as we are getting new desks for them both ready for uni.

I pulled out some bags from the loft when the cases went back up and I am slowly going through them washing them all and DD will list on Vinted to earn some cash to pay for a holiday next year.

I will do the kitchen in a min before DH gets home and we will just have a nice chilled afternoon.

I'm working today but hope to do a big tidy this weekend.

Me! Have guests coming to stay so going to blast each room for half hour! Their bedding is in the machine now

I started on Friday and have been working my way through the house. Have done a charity shop run, given lots away on Facebook and binned a load of junk. Yesterday I cleaned and hoovered upstairs, deep cleaned the bathroom and hoovered the stairs. Today I plan to clean and hoover downstairs, deep clean the kitchen, put the sofa cushions that I washed yesterday back on and change the bedding. Haven’t started yet as I was waiting for DD to finish getting ready and go to work. Now she’s left I can get started.

we’ve had a very fun summer but the house looks like a bombs gone off. Loads of trips away & days out and the bags just get dumped and not sorted before the next one.
Shoes & clothes storage overspilling with stuff that’s too small.

I’ve done a lot already but plenty more to go.

We have decided an Ikea trip today would be fun. On our way now, wish us luck!

Trying to, but to be honest struggling to be arsed. We have a family party this coming weekend and are away for some days in the meantime. I’d like to be party ready before we go, but can’t see it happening

I was going to but it’s such a glorious day I’ve done some gardening instead! The house is still a tip but I’ve had a lovely day in the sunshine!

How is everyone doing? We went out to get a few things and then ended up going to McDonald’s and now it’s after 5pm 🙈🙈 I am going to see what I can get done in the next 2 hours as I can’t give up yet even though I want to be done 😂 I think I will aim to get downstairs done and in the unlikely event that I even start on upstairs it will be a bonus 🙈😂

I did do a couple of hours of volunteer gardening and 3 loads of washing and changed the bed. That’s something I guess!

Yes, me, I have just about got it done. Even did the porch and mopped. That'll do for now.

I did a good tidy of the front garden before the rain comes tomorrow.

I cleared out a drawer and used it for my gym kit and swimming costumes. A win for me.

I’ve always done my deep clean once the kids go back to school and the house is empty. Although these days I only have one here all the time and she’s 16 so maybe my routine needs to change!

Yesterday I enjoyed the sunshine as it looks more unsettled the rest of the week.
