What liquid should I use to wash skating dresses with crystals on by hand

Assume the base fabric is lycra - A mild (baby non bio) type detergent with no fabric softener, or a specialist detergent (like Dylon Sports) if particularly sweaty.

Depending on crystals, you can peg a tea towel on the embellished side and then turn inside out so they don’t rub against each other.

It does depend on how they are attached. Are they glued on ?
Hand wash tepid water, basically treat as wool, although a biological liquid is ok if the fabric is synthetic. Lay the garment flat , so the bath if you don’t have a big enough sink, then gently push the garment down so the soapy water goes through it. Don’t agitate or rub. If the gems and glued, then no soaking. Repeat the gently pushing then do the same with clean water and repeat until the water is totally clear.
Lay the garment flat in a towel to dry.m
