Milton instructions change

I’ve just noticed the instructions on Milton tablets now say to rinse items after taking them out of the solution - I’m sure it always used to be no rinse! Am I imagining this?

Yes, the instructions have changed. I was confused by this as well as I thought rinsing the items meant they were no longer sterile 🤷‍♀️ But this is from the FAQ’s on the Milton website -

Why do I now need to rinse after using Milton Sterilising products?
Milton products themselves have not changed, but the regulations that apply to our products are being updated.
We take great pride in our excellent safety record – Milton products have been trusted by parents and health care professionals for over 100 years as a safe choice for babies. However, to comply with new regulations, we are required to include an additional rinsing step as a precaution. We have therefore updated our usage instructions and are in the process of updating our packaging to reflect these regulatory changes and to ensure you have the most accurate, up-to-date information. Thank you for your understanding as we make these adjustments to continue prioritise safety.

Yea I found that too - the first paragraph reads to me as ‘we don’t think you need to change anything you do but the legislation says…’
