Hello,
Anybody have any ideas as to how I can remove the greasy fingerprints a small guest has left all over my black stove? I'll post a pic.
Many thanks for any bright ideas!

Magic eraser sponge and dry with a window cloth. I used to use that on my matt black kitchen and it's the only thing that worked.

I clean my stove with wd40 and an old sponge as advised by the manufacturer. That would do it

olderandnonthewiser · 11/08/2025 19:45

In fact, it’s the same manufacturer 😀

We were also told wd40. I told the installer that life was too short for that kind of nonsense and I'd just live with the fingerprints.

It’s really no bother. Just squirt it on and spread it around. No longer than furniture polish and it cleans and polishes

Thank you for the suggestions! I'll dig out the wd40 and give it a go if the manufacturer advises 😁

@boobashkaYou will need to do the whole stove otherwise you’ll have a patch with a sheen. Takes moments tho. The sheen wears off btw
