I rest my case

EustaciaVye · 29/05/2008 14:34

Yes Luda it must be the waether

BiancaCastafiore · 29/05/2008 14:52

rofl @ Luda

Like the new name EV

Ds and I have come home from our picnic - dd has stayed on with a friend for a little while longer. Ds is slightly under-the-waether () and is looking very tired. I may give in and let him play Lego Star Wars for a bit.

I need to do some tidying up but not a lot and would like to spend some time in the garden if I can

gem1981 · 29/05/2008 14:57

Hi Luda
No ...I did not know that - id your DH "posh" ?

grouchyoscar · 29/05/2008 14:57

Afternoon FLY peeps

Welcome to sparkler

I'm here for a bit of sanity. Ed is wearing me down A litany of 'I want' 'Mum!' 'I don't want to' and generally being a pain in the butt

The fatigue is getting to me. My legs are killing me and feel so weak. It's not helping my demeanour with Ed TBH. I have done a bit of FLYing, y'know, emptying DW, running WM, bed making etc etc. Just the automatic ticking over stuff.

I'm going to wrap some boxes in nice paper to make storage for Ed's bits and pieces. Mindless but creative

gem1981 · 29/05/2008 14:57

is

these typos are catching!!!

Ludaloo · 29/05/2008 15:38

Good lord no gem infact his gran lives only a few roads along from the street they film Onslo's house.
They film Hyacynths house in the posher bit of Coventry.
No...he is a proper council estate lad
We used to live together in a small terraced street right next to the Coventry City Football Ground....fine before we had kids....just very noisy and as long as you stayed indoors for about half an hour before and after the match, then the footie hooligans fans weren't too much trouble.
After having DD1 though, we decided to move here to Wales....much quieter and safer

I have cleaned the fishtank and changed the water (you can actually see the fish now! I forgot we had 3!
I have also cleaned the Guinea Pigs out....they are outside in their run chewing on the incredibly long grass! (My plan is to move the run every now and then and hopefully by the end of the day they will have eaten the grass short again

Ludaloo · 29/05/2008 15:44

Actually Coventry has a fancy new stadium and the old football ground has been knocked down I think.....I think Radio 1 had a festival there not so long ago.....it is humungous! It sprung up along with a new Tesco Extra, Next and numerous other shops to create the biggest retail park I have ever seen!
Infact we go back to Cov these days to visit family and we hardly recognise it!
I was completely amazed to see television screens in the car park
You wouldn't believe how out of touch with things we have become living out here! We have a village shop and a post office the size of a garage....and 2 pubs....and that's about it!

grouchyoscar · 29/05/2008 16:24

Better than watching the town disappear tho Luda

Since the City Challenge improved the conservation area and stopped the market place being used as a car park and the ickle Tesco became a huge Tesco Extra, Our town has lost 2 butchers, the greengrocers, the fishmonger. Select clothes has gone (company gone belly up) Ethel Austin is in administration, the cheap bits n bobs shop has gone (admin again) and we have got a bingo hall and the 2 bookies have extended. It feels like the town is dying. Rather depressing really.

What is wrong with me? Captain Downer or what

One box covered, got the big box the Ikea standard lamp came in to do now. (The last one got filled with Mega Blocks)

Better cheer up really

scattyspice · 29/05/2008 16:30

Hi all.

Have been doing piles of laundry today too (DDs pottytraining seems to be going backwards sigh).

Nice and sunny here: DCs played in the garden all morning, then we went to park this aft.

Last day of 1/2 term tomorrow - has gone in a flash.

Take it easy Grouch.
Hi spakler I've just discovered that camping is great fun, but produces lots of work .

GO I may add to the advert with

Ungrateful OAP mother

Just worn in (64 years old), but is good for at least another 25.

She winds me and the boys up and upsets our happy little balance. They have been at each others throats for the last three days and she is back till at least monday. I dont want her getting too comfortable

I am hoping for good weather tomorrow, I might take the boys to the beech.

Ruby Me and DH discussed this last night, sometimes I feel as though I am just meant to serve them, get them up dressed etc with out a please or a thankyou.

It is worse when mum is here. I am going to put my FOOT DOWN

EustaciaVye · 29/05/2008 18:40

Right, listen up.

All stop what you are doing and go and make a cup of tea/get a chocolate bar/biscuit etc.

Take FIVE minutes and ignore everyone around you.

Then come back and read the thread. It will be worth it I promise.

EustaciaVye · 29/05/2008 18:40

Go on.....go away and come back in five.

EustaciaVye · 29/05/2008 18:41

TMH - your mum is a PITA. She will go soon and the boys will calm down. They love you really.

EustaciaVye · 29/05/2008 18:42

Ruby - Is it your birthday today? if so HB! Your kids love you and if you werent there then who would do their fab birthday parties and cinema days!!! They just havent worked out how to show their love yet. It will come.

EustaciaVye · 29/05/2008 18:42

GO - DS will calm down and be an angel tomorrow. I promise. Ignore his outbursts and tell yourself that tomorrow will be better.
