Would a steamer work?

I need to iron about 5 shirts and 3 T shirts a week. Would a steamer be effective? I really hate ironing. Currently send them off to be ironed but need to cut some costs. Thanks

A few ideas
-Charles Tyrwhitt sell Non-iron shirts
-Buy a washing machine with a “shirt wash” programme (Miele does one which steams them; you just need to be around to whip them out onto hangers to finish drying)
-Try a cheap handheld steamer before investing £100’s

DD bought herself a Chinese-made prom dress that arrived looking like a rag. After gingerly ironing the taffeta with a damp cloth and failing to smooth it out, I bought a cheap handheld steamer. It took a while as I was terrified of ruining it, but I was really impressed.

I’m not sure that I’d want to tackle 5 shirts and some t shirts with it every week, but I use it more than I thought I would.

Depends how fussy you are with the results. You won’t get sharp creases in shirts with a steamer and depending who crinkled they are it can be faster to use an iron
