I rubbed it it a damp cloth (just water) and it's even more streaked. It's DP's pride and joy and he will have a fit. Help!

funnily enough normal window cleaner seems to do the trick?but a small bit on a cloth not on the screen?

is it plasma? I don't think you should use chemicals on plasma screens IIRC. Use an e cloth

Habbibu · 28/05/2008 15:10

An e-cloth? Hang on...

Bky · 28/05/2008 15:10

white vinegar is good for non streaky cleaning.

Iota · 28/05/2008 15:10

how to clean a plasma screen

Habbibu · 28/05/2008 15:10

gah - didn't read your post properly, iota!

This is why I leave it to DP. It's his pride and joy so he can clean it

I don't think mine is a plasma screen and I have used babywipes after dd blobbed a half chomped winegum all over it!

i have also used a damp tissue then a dry tissue which helps with the streaks......

Monkeytrousers · 28/05/2008 16:10

it's a LED

I googled (not sure why I disn't think about doing that before!) and there does seem to be a consensus on distilled water and rubbing alcohol in equal measure. here

and not to touch it with paper based tissues, kitchen roll, etc
