Please help with new washing machine

I've got a new washing machine with these settings.

30 degrees is only a quick wash and is therefore not washing things properly. Having a bit of an argument with husband as he insists 40 will shrink his t shirts. Of these options what would you go for? I'm confused by all the different 40s! Thank you.

I’ve attached a picture but looks as if it’s being approved 😆

If the armpit smell is mild try putting white vinegar on and leaving a while. If it's a serious smell Dr Beckmann does an odour treater that you can put on the smelly area and leave for a while.

Shirts + extra spin. I have the same machine

Mine has an eco 40 - 60 setting like yours which I use a fair bit. Works well for shirts but takes about 2 hours to run.

On mine....a Samsung, the eco wash is super long but it also gets things lovely and clean. Seems to just soak then wash on repeat for 2.5 hrs.

I’ve got this machine and it is one of
the less user friendly I’ve had. It doesn’t tell you how long the cycles are without having to check the manual. The machine I had before this had a quick 15/30 min but also a choice of 30/40C. The next cycle length up was 40/60C for a hour.

I used to use the 15min quite a bit as I work in a nursery and clothes aren’t so much dirty after a shift, but you do feel like you want them freshened. Then a proper wash at the weekend. The 30min at 30C isn’t so convienient.
All the wash lengths on the rest of the cycles are longer than I’d like on this machine with several loads to do at a weekend.

Isn't the answer to let him wash his shirts on whichever setting he wants?
