Bleach splattered dress

HELP PLEASE
You’d think I’d learn by now as I have splattered dresses before with bleach.
My Golden Delicious apple coloured dress was splattered by bleach and has yellow patches on it.
It’s unwearable now because of where the splatters are.
What’s the best thing to do - bleach it all or
buy green Dylon and dye it - will the dye “take” evenly though, because of the bleached areas ?
I loved that dress. 🥲

Unfortunately, when I dyed a bleached dress, the bleach areas were still noticeable. Not as much, but still there (the dress was dyed from a khaki green to a dark forest green)

Sharpie.

I bought a giant pack that has all sorts of colours in.

Try for colour match in an inconspicuous area first.

Seconding Sharpie - I splattered bleach up the sleeve and down the side of a favourite hoodie so coloured in the orange dots with a pen. Seems to have survived through the wash which is amazing. However - it was a black hoodie which is dead easy to cover. You might struggle with colour matching by the sounds of it 🙁

It’s likely that the spots will still be visible to some extent even with dyeing or bleaching. Visible mending that highlights the flaw is another option.

You may not find the exact tone of Sharpie or artist felt pen but you can try layering different ones in an inconspicuous spot . Start with the lightest yellow and lightest greens and work your way up .

A perfect match may not be possible but as my grandmother always said,
" on a galloping horse noone will notice" !

Thanks you all for your replies 💐
I bleached the whole dress and it’s pale yellow. ☹️

Unfortunately that dye stripper is out of stock in the link you gave @Enterthewolvesand I’m not in the UK so it is hard to source.

God I loved that dress ☹️
It’s not the same.
The apple green colour was gorgeous.
I am soooo stoopid.
I knew the risk, messing around with bleach.
Lesson learned, big time.

Wash it a few more times and rinse it well. Then you can try to redye it by machine.
