How do you keep paved/cobbled areas weed free?

The area in question is where I park my car, right by the pavement and children do play there as it’s a side street so I am a bit hesitant to put really noxious chemicals down. It’s really hard to pick weeds from the tight areas between the cobbled paving (it’s a new ish estate, not old cobblestones). What should I be doing? Thanks in advance for suggestions

I use one of these to get rid of weeds in the cobble lock. It works very well, needs a bit of welly but I get a good workout with it! Wear padded gloves as the handle can rub a bit against your hands.

I've got a lot of wildlife in my garden so I don't like to use chemicals. Someone on here suggested using boiling water from the kettle so I do that now. Just remember to pour it bending down as the splashback is a bit painful 😬

Thanks :)
hopefully I’ll have success

I second the boiling water but use the water drained from pasta, veg etc. If you drain/tip it into a jug it'll be easy to pour along the joints in the cobbles.
