Funnily enough checking old emails I replaced these 11 years ago so I guess they are finished.

What’s your budget?

I have a Siemens washing machine - 8 years old. It’s been good - replaced the seals at about 6 years old, but otherwise it’s been great.

I put an integrated Hotpoint Fridge Freezer into my new kitchen last year. It replaced a stand alone Siemens. Both were/ are fine. I have a Beto freezer in the garage and it’s great - one of the few that can handle low temperatures.

Thank you probably more at the cheap and cheerful end! But open to a good deal.

john Lewis have some on special but they are mostly Bosch and I hate Bosch I find them very unreliable

Well Beko do make decent fridges , and very reasonable. I bought my kitchen appliances on AO and got some good deals.

I bought a Hisense fridge/freezer unseen in the early days of lockdown. I'd never heard of Hisense at the time. The shops were all closed. There were very few available. It was an emergency. I ordered it online, and that was the one that appeared to fit my gap. I am really happy with it. The interior is just so much more organised than any other I've owned.

We've got a Samsung washer and fridge (not combined, that would be weird) and we're happy with them. There tend to be a range of prices for both Samsung and Bosch products.

I’ve recently had an Electra washer from AO. I’d never heard of them but they got good reviews and so far I’m very happy. Replaced a Bosch which had been very reliable but was ten years old and beyond repair.
I get the impression these days that there is no much difference in quality between big name more expensive brands and the ones which are typically thought of as budget, whether that’s washers, fridge freezers or TVs. A lot of it is down to luck of the draw, I reckon.

There's an indesit washing machine 8kg 1400 spin mentioned on the recent washing machine thread for £250 ish. Looks like good reviews.

I suggest on that thread to try getting it from boots appliances as you get points. I've done this with a cooker recently.
