The kids are off school this week and even though I do tidy up every single day, you wouldn't know it, so I am thinking why bother tbh.

mine are off too and dss is here. he has an uncontrollable need to unmake the beds

If I were able to relax in an untidy house I would do the same!!!

sadly tho, I would end up ranting at everyone and making the hols hell with my tension....((hate a messy house, I have 'ishoos'))

I have been trying to go and tidy up a bit for the last 35 minutes but can't quite get off here!

Oh i do this sometimes...often actually. It takes about 2 days solid sorting to get it back to half tidy.

I kinda let things go at the weekend and then BLITZ on Mondays.

Get a great feeling of satisfaction on Monday when everything is done and returned to normal.

Sad eh!

I have roped in DH and we are going to do a big tidy and get all the toys upstairs. Only got DS2 atm so a slight chance of it lasting more than 5 minutes.

I tidied yesterday. I changed the beds, hoovered & mopped the floors, did the bathrooms etc...

Ds wet his bed last night.

DD spilled juice on her bedroom floor this morning.

The kids had a bath earlier.....

so anyone visiting would never know just how it gleamed yesterday

And I even did the livingroom today... dh is currently sprawled on the floor with a newspaper below his sleeping head!!

I think I do this most weeks - - I get very discouraged let the house become buried under 'stuff' then have stresfull but strangely satisfying bursts of energetic blitz cleaning! That doesn't work for everyone though, and I always do try to keep kitchen/ kids bathroom sanitary at least.
