Needed a new toilet seat for d shaped loo. Determined it was top fitted version. Bought toilet seat. Can't remove fittings from top of loo. Screws released but they're stuck. I can see what looks like plastic bits in the holes. Not sure if I need to pull them really hard to remove them?
Also I'm now second guessing about it being top fitting. There's nothing directly under the fittings but farther back and under I can see a plastic bit and metal bit and wondering if I need to pull those off. Or maybe they're for something else.
Guy in the shop I got the new seat from was no help. Appreciate if someone could advise please? Pics attached. Thanks.
