What is this under my pillow case?? (With pics)

Woke up and noticed some black spots all o er my pillow. Have taken the cover up and this is what is underneath.
What could it be? They are black/brown flaky.
wondering if it’s some sort of bug that’s crawled in which is freaking me out given I had my head on it all night 😯

Do you iron your pillowcases, if not is it something that’s attached itself when on the line (ash from a bonfire) or bits of bobble from a jumper that maybe it was sat on in the ironing pile?

Did a leaf make its way in and disintegrate overnight?

No It’s flaky

It wasn’t there yesterday! It’s also at the opposite corner to the opening of the pillowcase. It does look leaf-like but don’t know how that could happen???

It looks like mice droppings

Did you dry the pillow case outside on the line OP? Could a leaf have got into it then?
