Do you think they work?

If they do would you share the recipes?

Buy the book?

tothelefttotheleft · 25/06/2025 12:31

@DelphiniumDoreen

I would but she has multiple books and the recipes to make the cleaning products seem to be spread amongst them all.

Yes. I have the clean and green book which has most of them and her magic gel one is on Instagram. My local library has some of her books

BillieJ · 27/06/2025 23:32

She's on Insta and the recipes are there - I use a lot of her recipes because they've come to me over the years.

PIPERHELLO · 27/06/2025 23:37

I love her!! She’s also so generous with sharing her content and tips on Instagram.

Agoddessonamountaintop · 28/06/2025 00:10

I use the recipes from Clean and Green. Took a while to get my head around what to use for what job but now I’ve got the hang of the basics it’s pretty straightforward and I feel quite smug knowing the products I use are genuinely eco-friendly.

The main one is the kitchen & bathroom cleaner:
60ml white wine vinegar
150ml water
40ml surgical spirit
20 drops essential oil (lemon and eucalyptus are my favourites
300m glass bottle with spray.

I also make the magic toilet cleaner and the floor cleaner.

I’d recommend getting the book though as it’s full of handy hints and ways of using, say, bicarb and green bleach, as well as the recipes. Then, as above, she’s worth a look on instagram as she’s very generous with sharing stuff (none of this ‘subscribe/pay ££ to find out more’).

Yes I’m doing that too - I was sceptical but it genuinely does seem to be working!

Was so surprised!! And they last for a week as well

@FloofyBird

Unfortunately my local library doesn't have the books.

@Agoddessonamountaintop

Thankyou for sharing that recipe. I really appreciate it.

I had cancer last year and I'm trying to use less toxic things.

I'm a latecomer to instagram but I'll try and screen shot them if I see them.

If you can’t buy a copy of the book you could spend some time scrolling through her instagram feed and screenshotting recipes.

I find its easier to use Facebook and she's on there with all the recipes and all her tips

NerdyBird · 29/06/2025 09:07

I follow Nancy on Instagram, she often shares various recipes and puts them up with enough time to screenshot. I've not tried any yet though!

Yes, it really does. I was constantly bothered by flies in the kitchen due to having cat food on the floor...such a relief.

Does anyone know which of her recipes is suitable as a daily granite countertop spray? The all-purpose cleaner has vinegar so it's a no-go, but the Basic Magic one I'm not sure is suitable for daily spray and wipes use since it seems like it replaces Pure Magic, which is more heavy-duty?

Agoddessonamountaintop · 22/10/2025 23:56

Thread revival! She has an acid free stone cleaning recipe. I don’t have any granite but I made it ages and I think used it on my limestone floor. Not sure if it’s in a book, try googling it as I can’t recall the recipe.

atgnat · 23/10/2025 09:09

I think that's the Basic Magic one, which I'm not sure about whether it's for daily cleaning or not? As it shares the name with Pure Magic and she says that's for more heavy duty tasks.

Sleeposaurus · 23/10/2025 09:11

They are great. Every so often she points out on Instagram that her kindle books are reduced i got one for 99p (have the others in print version and totally worth it. Have a look second hand.)

Durumdurumer · 23/10/2025 10:23

They’re so good!!! Effortless cleaning totally sorted my house when our cleaner let us down!

Yes it is the Basic Magic one, without citric acid. If you google it you’ll see her videos where she shares it.
